The version 27 Apple operating systems released in fall 2026 include a completely new Siri, now called Siri AI, with vastly expanded capabilities, far better comprehension, and a chatbot-like interface. It explains Apple's model of doing as much processing as possible on your device, while sending bigger tasks to their Private Cloud Compute network, which partly relies on Google Gemini models. (Yes, it covers privacy considerations, too!) You'll learn about the ways Siri can now pull information from your personal context (including calendars, contacts, email, and messages), its Visual Intelligence capability for understanding what's on your screen and what your camera sees, and how you can use it within and across apps.

The book also covers every Apple Intelligence feature, even those that aren't new in version 27.
