Your Mind Is the Product: Big Tech, Surveillance, and the Fight for Privacy, Vol 1

Time has created a world in which we have been left more vulnerable than ever before. Our privacy is more at stake than most would care to admit. Everyone knows about the dangers of online privacy risks.

The public generally knows to be wary of hackers and scammers, but the biggest threats actually come from within the biggest tech corporations and even from within our own governments. The worst perpetrators of privacy invasion are companies like Google, Microsoft and Apple, which are unfortunately so ingrained within the fabric of society, that the vast majority of modern internet users have been coerced into making use of their services in one way or another.

This is a series of articles all pointing at the various threats to our privacy from multiple sources. The standout source of threat is not some advanced hacking group but Big Tech and their infrastructure to collect all our data and demand an identity to make sure that data is properly indexed.

Why do they want to do this? Because while the old mantra was You Are the Product which implied that they made money from marketing things to you, this has evolved. Now Your Mind Is the Product. This next stage is a bigger threat because they can shape society and they have the power with many Big tech corporations now bigger than many countries.
