This training circular provides the gunnery training plan for all prerequisite and live-fire training for the M1A2, Abrams heavy tank. It includes all training events through crew qualification following the integrated weapons training strategy structure. TC 3-20.31-120 is written using a plan, prepare, execute and assess methodology. This publication applies to all Abrams variants.
The principal audience for TC 3-20.31-120 is commanders, trainers, and Master Gunners of movement and maneuver units. Trainers and educators throughout the Army will also use this publication.
