Drop It Like a Tot: Read to the Rhythm

Every word in this book is written to match the rhythm of one of hip hop's most iconic tracks -- so you can read it straight off the page or rap it right along to the beat. The cadence lands in all the same places, and by the second page your little one will already be feeling it.

A sample from the book:

When the tot's in his crib now
Drop it like a tot, drop it like a tot, drop it like a tot

When parents try to get at you
Stall it like a tot, stall it like a tot, stall it like a tot

And if a kiddo get a attitude
Stop it like a tot, stop it like a tot, stop it like a tot

I got my blankie on my arm and I'm holding on strong
And I spill my sippy 'cause I got it going on

Somebody's not going to sleep without a fight.

It's bedtime, the lights are low, and one very determined little tot has absolutely no plans to close his eyes. There's stalling to do, a sippy to spill, a tantrum to throw, and at least one more squeal that'll make you feel like a thick blankie in the heat.

Drop It Like a Tot takes one of hip hop's most iconic tracks and turns it into a laugh out loud bedtime adventure your whole family will want to read again and again. Parents will catch every reference while kids will love the rhythm, the silliness, and the tot who just refuses to quit.

Part of the Read to the Rhythm series -- where today's biggest hip hop hits meet lights out.
