The Home Security System and the Lipid Neighborhood: Un-Complicating Cholesterol and Cardiovascular Disease

It sounds like the start of a bad joke…or perhaps a confusingly awesome dream. A Physical Therapist, ex-collegiate track athlete, Ivy league grad, Youth Pastor, and some dude with a PhD start having a conversation about cholesterol. And then you realize all those guys are THE SAME GUY, and that guy takes you on a whimsical pilgrimage that results in YOU having a framework for NOT having heart attacks, strokes, and dementia. Employing a smorgasbord of metaphors, pictures, and catchphrases, The Home Security System and the Lipid Neighborhood serves as a valuable reference for clinicians and non-clinicians alike, bringing refreshing relatability to complex biochemical topics. Through a lipid-lens, you’ll learn, laugh, and love your way through its pages…and in the end, you’ll undoubtedly add “life to your years!”
