This is a journal of a bicycle trip through Lao and Vietnam. It describes the changes taking place in Lao. The area I journeyed through had been slow to develop, but China put in a road to access areas where dams could be constructed to generate electricity for towns and cities in southern China. The road has also brought commerce and electricity to the mountain people of this area. And their lives are changing.
Vietnam is more developed, but culture still thrives in the mountains.
