2024 Camellia Nomenclature

CAMELLIA NOMENCLATURE 2024, Thirtieth Edition is a revised, descriptive list of over 7,800 cultivars generally grown by the amateur camellia hobbyist particularly in the United States of America. Cultivars originating in other countries are generally included only when they are introduced in the United States. This book is based on a continuing research program by the Nomenclature Research Committee of the Southern California Camellia Society and is a non-profit amateur effort. This reference has been adopted throughout the world as the best available source of nomenclature information and is generally used by amateur growers and camellia nurserymen. The initial and continued purposes of this work are to promote consistency and settle controversies surrounding the names of both old and new cultivars of camellias, and to present a concise nomenclature list for the elucidation of the amateur grower.
