The Message of the Prophets: Audio Lectures: A Survey of the Prophetic and Apocalyptic Books of the Old Testament

The Zondervan Biblical and Theological Lectures series provides a unique audio learning experience. Unlike a traditional audiobook's direct narration of a book's text, The Message of the Prophets: Audio Lectures includes high quality live-recordings of college-level lectures that cover the important points from each subject as well as relevant material from other sources.

The Message of the Prophets: Audio Lectures offers a scholarly yet student-friendly survey of the Old Testament prophetic literature that presents the message of each prophet in its historical and biblical context and then tracks that message through the New Testament to challenge readers with what it means for them today. Old Testament scholar J. Daniel Hays focuses on synthesizing the message of the prophets, which enables listeners to grasp the major contours of the prophetic books clearly and concisely. After identifying what the message meant for ancient Israel, Hays helps viewers move toward application today, enabling listeners to gain a better understanding of God and the relationship between God and his people.

Focused on the most significant topics and discussions in the textbook, The Message of the Prophets: Audio Lectures is designed with the learner in mind and is an indispensable resource for students and independent learners alike.
